Meet Your 2022-2023 Board of Directors

Officers

The Madisonville Community Council Officers are made of up five positions; President, Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, Treasurer and Recording Secretary. These positions are elected at the November General Body meeting in odd-numbered years by Madisonville Community Council Members.

Kerry Devery

President

Kerry moved to Madisonville in early 2019 after living in several Cincinnati neighborhoods. Originally from the Columbus area, he decided to enroll at the University of Cincinnati after an eight year career in the US Army. He was drawn to this community for it's great public resources and residents. He has a strong passion for active transportation and increasing the urban tree canopy. Coming out of the pandemic, Kerry is excited to help maximize community participation and engagement. He can regularly be seen walking with his fiancé and their two dogs as well as biking throughout the neighborhood.

Susan Harper

Treasurer

Susan has been a Madisonville resident of since 1999. She enjoys working in her garden and walking the neighborhood. You can easily spot Susan's house with her yellow and red Flamingos on her front yard, they represent her alma mater Iowa State University. She volunteers at the Oyler School and with the IRS's VITA program.

Anna has been a Madisonville resident since early 2020. You can find her multiple times a day walking her beloved German Shepherd on and around Bramble Avenue. Anna is a communication consultant in her day job and has a Masters of Arts in Professional Writing.

Recording Secretary

Following a career in property management, real estate, & IT management, Ann is retired but not resting. She is a volunteer with Shroder High School Tutoring, Madisonville Works, Madisonville Cares, Madisonville Gardens & 500 Chickens for Madisonville. She has lived in Madisonville for 20 years, has 3 adult children & 2 grandchildren.

The Madisonville Community Council Committee Chairs are made of up thirteen positions; Arts & Recreation, Business & Economic Development, Bylaws, Cleanup & Beautification, Communications, Crime Prevention & Safety, Education, History, Housing, Madisonville Cares, Membership, Transportation and Youth Council. These positions are appointed by the Madisonville Community Council Board of Directors. If you are interested in joining a committee(s) please reach out directly to the committee chair person(s). If you are interested in filling a vacant a committee chair position, please reach out to MCC President Kerry Devery at president@ourmadisonville.com.

Stephanie is a thirteen year resident of Madisonville, musician, softball coach and mom of three.
 
Her love of the arts is something she is excited to share with the community!

Amanda Mahaffey

Communications

Amanda has been Madisonville resident since early 2019, when she purchased her very first home. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Communications from the University of Cincinnati and is very eager to use her skills to keep Madisonville residents informed about neighborhood happenings and upcoming events!

Education

Kate, being a single mother to a strong and beautiful child, understands the challenges many families face as they struggle to balance life, finances, health, work, and play. Kate continues to find new opportunities to build educational programming and services within her community and beyond.

Elishia Chamberlain 

Housing

Elishia may not live in Madisonville, but she has considered it to be her second home since 2019. She has 15 years of public administration, community development, nonprofit management, and planning experience. Elishia understands the challenges we face around housing, the importance of embracing current community members while welcoming the new.

Melissa Wilkerson

Membership

Melissa is a 30+ year resident of Madisonville. She has spent much of her life focused on community service and neighborhood growth. Melissa continues to focus on increasing the membership and working with residents to plan fun and engaging events in the neighborhood.

Kathleen Colley

Transportation 

Kathleen has lived in Madisonville since 2019. She is excited to work towards the goal of making walking, biking, and using transit in Madisonville safer and more fun for all.

Toni Tanks

Youth Council

Toni is a 50+ year resident of Madisonville and has spent her life focused on ensuring that our youth are exposed to the wealth of opportunities that the world has to offer. As a nurse and therapist she understands the need for a wholistic approach. She continues to look for committee members that share her passion to grow our Madisonville youth into well rounded productive members of our community.
